I have taken many pictures with the cameras in my life. I loved the instant picture from Polaroid cameras. I had several Kodak Instamatic easy-loads, an old Olympus 35mm film camera, and digital point & shoots. Right now I use a Nikon D31 and think of it as my starter camera.
